Dune is a sculptural light fixture whose amorphous form captivates the eye. Designed by the Madrid-based studio Mayice, Dune is crafted from a single piece of hand-blown borosilicate glass, enveloping a wood veneer diffuser with a pod-like opening on one side. The glass is blown by Eduardo Garuti, an exceptional craftsman. With mastery and great dexterity, Garuti reveals the natural beauty of the glass.

Dune's distinctive silhouette consists of two symmetrical ends and an irregularly shaped center reminiscent of a lightbulb. The wood veneer diffuser houses the lamp's dimmable LED light source, and the downward-directed light emanating from the pod-shaped opening is softened by the glass. Each Dune lamp is unique: the beauty of the imperfection of hand-blown glass, with its almost wabi-sabi quality, makes Dune a work of art. In fact, each lamp is signed by the craftsman, Eduardo Garuti.
